www.drummerworld.com Drum Lesson on a Steve Gadd Concept and “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” by Paul Simon.Jeff Indyke, “The Professor”, extends the concept on his Drum Education TV Show. Jeff has produced hundreds of Audio/DVD drum courses on drumming greats over decades.
What???
still working the grove, but ‘the other side’ as noted at the beginning is the same? the snare beat on one? right..?
i’ll keep trying.
i don’t even qualify to comment on this guy’s show, but damn,
that’s who i wanna be
MAn he must changes his drum heads, and he must listen to his video! He’ll understand right away that he is not understandable!
1 and 2 and Im lost 3 and 4 and i’m gone
I’m sure Jeff Indyke is a great drum video producer and talented drummer, but he is not good at giving lessons. That is what this video is supposed to be after all, a lesson. I guess it is entertaining, though, in a comical way. It is a bit like watching a lounge lizard on drums.
That’s really really interesting…
Jesus…
ha….this lads a fuckin buzzer – lovin it
i agree, this guy is all over the place, doesnt keep to one topic, looks like andrew dice clay on crack!
I’m sorry, but I just don’t get what he’s on about. Can anyone explain it to me? He doesn’t explain anything in understandable English. I’m a drummer and I can’t figure it out, how are new players going to get it.
I think Steve Gadd does it better, cauze he has the feeling in it…………………he’s very critically on steve gadd
Some of the worst drum fills I have ever seen, what is this to do with Mr Gadd??? but well funny anyway.
Never mind-I spoke too soon.
Indyke’s great, Gadd’s a master, and I have by no means perfected the 50 Ways groove, but I believe SG plays the hi-hat with his left hand. Indyke can do it however he wants, but I can only get the feel right if I do it thataway.
1 and a 2 nd a rofl
3:03 – LOL, its the best thing he does in the entire video.
3:03 funniest thing ever.
“The other side”
Stop bumming gadd, and learn more then just a paradiddle god!
better put as loony
dude, get a better mike. but youre good.
he really breaks it down well, but man, he seems like an odd duck. that shirt, the sweet 70s set, the way he sings the rhythms…solid gold, baby!
Without being a complete geek about this Bizzy0815 is right. Gadd plays the main “riff” open handed and based around triplets played across the kick, hi hat and and snare. Other than that, well done for keeping the best kept “drum set” secret alive.
Wait for Part III, where this guy talks for 20 minutes on the “In the Air Tonight” riff by Phil Collins. (Whooo, doggies.)
